Course IQ doesn't have an account, doesn't run ads, doesn't use analytics, and doesn't send your data anywhere. Your rounds, your profile, and your history stay on your device. The only thing the app talks to over the network is a public sports-statistics feed, and it doesn't send any information about you to get it. If you connect Game Center, only a numeric score leaves your device, and Apple handles that connection, not us.
Course IQ saves your round history, hole results, and player profile (driver carry and dispersion settings) locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. None of this is uploaded to us or to any third party. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.
There is no Course IQ account, no sign-up, and no login. We do not operate a server that stores your rounds, your profile, or anything else about you. Nobody at Canyon Sky Rain LLC can see what you've played.
The app does make one kind of network request: it fetches aggregate, publicly published PGA Tour statistics (driving accuracy, greens in regulation, scrambling rate) from DataGolf's feed, so it can compare your decisions to real Tour benchmarks. That request sends only the app's own API key and a season/tour parameter, never anything about you, your device, or your play, and the result is cached on your device for up to 30 days so it doesn't need to be fetched often.
Course IQ does not send push notifications and does not request notification permission.
Course IQ does not request access to your location, camera, contacts, or health data, and does not use any of Apple's frameworks for those. It has no reason to: hole geometry is generated on your device, not measured from where you're standing.
Course IQ is a free download with one optional in-app purchase, a $4.99 one-time unlock (no subscription) that adds unlimited rounds, all twelve drills, round history, and profile import. The Daily Hole and your first full round are free. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details, and the App only checks, on your device, whether Apple's own purchase record shows the unlock.
Nothing that identifies you. We don't collect your name, email address, or any contact information, because the app never asks for it. We don't run analytics or advertising software, and we don't use any tool that tracks you across other apps or websites, so the app never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. There's nothing for it to ask permission for.
If you choose to sign in to Game Center (entirely optional, and never required to play), Apple's Game Center handles that identity, under Apple's own privacy policy. The only thing Course IQ sends to Game Center is a numeric decision-quality score for the Daily Hole leaderboard, never your name, your rounds, or any other detail. Declining Game Center doesn't limit anything else in the app.
If you import a profile from a companion golf app you use (your driver carry and shot dispersion), that import happens entirely on your device through a direct app-to-app link, and the imported numbers are stored locally with the rest of your profile. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Course IQ does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from any user, there is nothing to remove if a parent has a concern: deleting the app removes everything it stored.
Everything Course IQ stores lives only on your device. To delete it, delete the app, or delete individual rounds from the app's history screen. We hold nothing on any server to delete on our end, because we never received it in the first place.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same page with a new effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
