Data Action Golf ("the App") is developed by Canyon Sky Rain LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Utah limited liability company. Data Action Golf is a golf improvement app: you log your rounds hole by hole, and the App turns that history into strokes-quantified gap analysis, in-round tips, and a practice plan built from your own numbers. It does not ask who you are: there is no sign-up and no account. This policy explains what the App stores, the two places information can leave your device, and the choices you have.
Data Action Golf has no accounts and no sign-in. Everything you log, your rounds, scores, practice sessions, and preferences, is stored only on your iPhone. The App makes a network request to look up course names and tee data. That request carries nothing that identifies you as a person, because there is no account for it to be linked to. The App shows no ads, runs no analytics or advertising SDK, and never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you across other apps or websites.
Data Action Golf stores the following locally, using Apple's on-device SwiftData framework:
None of this is backed up to a server we operate, synced to iCloud, or shared with other users. Deleting the App removes all of it.
Data Action Golf does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use it. One feature reaches the network:
If you use a separate golf strategy app, a card may also appear offering to send your measured driving distance and club distances to it. That handoff happens entirely on your device through a direct link you tap; nothing is sent to us or to any server. See "What We Collect" below for more.
PGA Tour benchmark numbers shown throughout the App (fairway, green, and scrambling percentages) are bundled into the App itself and never fetched over the network.
Data Action Golf does not send push or local notifications and does not request notification permission. There is nothing to opt in or out of here.
The App does not request or use your location: it has no location feature of any kind. It does not access Contacts and does not read from or write to Apple Health or any HealthKit data.
The App does not use the camera and does not ask to read your photo library. When you build a share card, you can choose a photo through Apple's system photo picker, which gives the App only the photo you pick. If you save a card, the App asks permission to add the finished image to your photo library. Photos are used on your device only and are never uploaded by the App. All of this is optional, and the App works fully without it.
Data Action Pro (a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription) is sold and processed entirely through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details. The App only checks, on your device, whether Apple's own on-device receipt shows an active subscription; that check never leaves Apple's systems to reach us. You can review or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple ID.
Nothing that identifies you. The App contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting or other third-party tracking service, so it never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt: there is nothing for it to ask permission for. The only thing that ever leaves your device is described above under "No Accounts, and What Goes Over the Network": course-search text, which is not tied to an account or a persistent identifier, because the App has neither. If you email us for support, we receive only what you choose to send us, and we use it only to help you.
Data Action Golf is a general-audience golf improvement app, not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Because your rounds, practice logs, and preferences are stored only on your device, deleting the App removes all of them immediately and completely. We hold no copies, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. The course-lookup proxy keeps no per-search record to delete.
We may update this policy as the App changes. Material changes will be reflected with an updated effective date above.
