Meowmoir ("the App") is developed by Canyon Sky Rain LLC ("we," "us," "our"), a Utah limited liability company. Meowmoir is a cat memoir app: each night you add a photo and one line about your cat's day, and the App writes that night's diary entry in your cat's own voice, kept in a book on your phone. The App asks nothing about who you are: there are no accounts, and we never receive, see, or collect anything you do in the App. Meowmoir has no server of any kind: it does not talk to us or to anyone else, apart from Apple's own StoreKit for the optional purchase. This policy explains where your information lives and the choices you have.
Everything in Meowmoir (your cat's name and persona, every photo, every diary entry, every portrait you design) is stored only on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted anywhere, by us or by anyone else. The App makes no network requests of its own. It shows no ads, includes no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and does not ask for the advertising identifier. We could not identify a single Meowmoir user if we tried, because the App never tells us anyone is using it.
All of this lives in the App's own local storage (Apple's SwiftData, on-device only). It is not synced to iCloud, not backed up to us, and not shared with other users or other apps.
None of its own. Meowmoir makes no network requests of its own; the only connection is Apple's StoreKit, for the optional purchase. There is no content server, no analytics endpoint, no crash reporter, and no third-party SDK of any kind built into the App (it has zero external code dependencies). Nothing about your cat, your entries, or your device ever leaves your phone through the App.
Meowmoir does not send notifications of any kind. There is no notification code in the App.
Meowmoir does not use your location, does not access your contacts, does not use HealthKit, and does not use the camera directly. Photos are chosen through Apple's standard system photo picker, which does not grant the App access to your photo library at all. It only receives the specific photo you pick, and iOS does not require or show a permission prompt for it.
When you tap "Share this page," the App renders a typeset card image on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there (Messages, Instagram, saving to Photos, or anywhere else) is entirely your choice, made outside the App, and we are never told about it.
Meowmoir is a free download with one optional in-app purchase, a $6.99 one-time unlock (no subscription) that lets you keep adding pages after your cat's first one. Reading and sharing the pages you have already written is always free. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never receive or store your payment details, and the App only checks, on your device, whether Apple's own purchase record shows the unlock.
Nothing. There is no analytics package, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind in the App. If you email us for support, we receive only what you choose to send us, and we use it only to help you.
Meowmoir is a general-audience app for keeping a memoir of a family pet. It is not directed at children under 13, and because the App collects nothing at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
Because everything is stored locally, deleting the App from your iPhone removes all of it (your cat's profile, every entry, every photo, and every portrait) permanently. Tearing a page out inside the App holds it for a few seconds so you can put it back, and once that window passes (or you delete the App), it is gone; we hold no copies anywhere, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side.
We may update this policy as the App changes. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
