Privacy Policy

Effective August 27, 2026 · Last updated: October 2, 2026

The Short Version

Tempest Golf does not have an account, does not talk to a server, and does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything the game needs to run stays on your device. If you never look past this paragraph, that is the whole policy.

Information the App Stores on Your Device

Tempest Golf saves a small amount of game data locally on your device, using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults), so the game works the way you expect between sessions:

In the current release, your coin balance, storm token balance, and locker upgrade levels live only in the app's running memory for that session and reset the next time you open the app. If a future release starts saving that progress between sessions, it will be saved on your device the same way: locally, tied to this one device, never sent anywhere.

None of this data is linked to your name, your Apple ID, or any other identity. It cannot be used to identify you, and it never leaves your device.

No Servers, No Accounts

Tempest Golf makes no network requests of any kind. There is no login, no sign-up, no user profile stored anywhere but your device, and no server for the app to talk to even if it wanted to. You can play with your device in airplane mode from the moment you install it.

Notifications

Tempest Golf does not request permission to send you push notifications, and it does not send any. A "Run reminders" row appears in the app's Settings screen as placeholder UI for a future release; it is not wired up to anything today and tapping it does nothing.

Location, Camera, Contacts, and Health

Tempest Golf does not request or use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, or any Health app data. It has no code that accesses any of these, and it declares no permission for any of them. The in-game audio is generated entirely on your device by the app itself; the app never records or listens through your microphone.

Purchases

Tempest Golf is free, and as of this release it has no in-app purchases. The coins and storm tokens you see in the Storm Locker are earned only by playing and completing runs; there is no way to buy them with real money, and no payment or App Store purchase code exists anywhere in the app.

If that changes in a future release, this policy will be updated first, and we'll describe exactly what's for sale and how any purchase is processed (through Apple's own In-App Purchase system, which handles your payment information directly; we would never see or store it).

What We Collect

Nothing. Tempest Golf collects no personal data, no device identifiers, no analytics, no crash logs, no advertising data, and does not use any third-party analytics or advertising software development kit. There are no trackers of any kind in this app.

Children's Privacy

Tempest Golf is a general-audience arcade golf game that people of many ages, including kids, may enjoy playing. It is not directed at children under 13, and it is not listed in Apple's Kids Category. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, of any age, there is nothing for us to knowingly collect from a child, and no account or profile a child could create.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since nothing is ever sent to us, there is nothing on our end to retain or delete. The Tempest Index history described above lives only in the app's local storage on your device. Deleting Tempest Golf from your device deletes this data along with it. There is no cloud backup or account to separately clear.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, for example because a future release adds a feature that touches your data differently, we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top. We won't make a change like that quietly.
