Privacy Policy

Effective August 27, 2026 · Last updated: October 2, 2026

The Short Version

Unscatter does not collect anything. There are no accounts, no servers, and nothing about you or your day ever leaves your device. Everything you type into Unscatter, from a quick thought in the Brain Dump to a habit streak or an energy check in, is stored only in Apple's on-device SwiftData storage on your phone. We built it this way on purpose, and we are not going to change that later and call it an update.

Information the App Stores on Your Device

Unscatter stores the following, locally, on your device only:

None of this is transmitted anywhere. There is no server for it to go to. If you delete Unscatter, this data is deleted along with it. If you have not backed up your device, it cannot be recovered, including by us, because we never had it.

No Servers, No Accounts

Unscatter has no sign in, no account creation, and no username or password of any kind. There is no server behind the app at all. Nothing you enter is ever sent over the network, because Unscatter does not make network requests for your data in the first place.

Notifications

Unscatter does not schedule or send notifications. Nothing pings you, nudges you, or interrupts you.

Location, Camera, Contacts, and Health

Unscatter does not request or use your location, camera, photo library, contacts, microphone, or any health data. This is true even though the app asks a daily question about how your energy feels. That question is a simple, private self-rating you keep for yourself. It is never connected to Apple Health, HealthKit, or any medical or fitness data source, and Unscatter never reads, writes, or shares health information of any kind.

Purchases

Unscatter offers one optional in-app purchase, Unscatter Pro, which unlocks unlimited habits and your full history. This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your payment details, and we do not operate any server that records or stores your purchase history. Apple's own privacy practices govern the purchase transaction itself; see Apple's privacy policy for details on how Apple handles App Store purchases.

What We Collect

Nothing. We do not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports tied to you, advertising identifiers, or any other data about you or your device. Unscatter shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics code.

Children's Privacy

Because Unscatter collects no data of any kind from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is a general-purpose daily planner and is not directed at children.

Data Retention and Deletion

There is nothing to retain, because nothing leaves your device. Your data lives in the app for as long as you keep the app installed. To delete everything Unscatter has ever stored about your days, delete the app from your device. That removes all of it, immediately and completely.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Because Unscatter fundamentally does not collect data, we do not expect this policy to change often, and any change that would involve collecting new data would be a significant change we would call out clearly.
